Alejandra Vargas Garcia

Alejandra is a Program Officer for the Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women Program at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). In her role, she supports 14 research projects in 50 countries to identify and overcome barriers to women's economic empowerment. Alejandra has worked on knowledge management, immigration and women's issues for international and development organizations, including the United Nations and the United States Agency for International Development, as well as the Mexican public service. She holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University and a BA in International Relations from ITAM
