Shannon Sutton is Senior Program Officer for Global Health and Capacity Building with the Think Tank Initiative. Shannon holds a PhD in Business and Management from Queen Mary, University of London, a Master’s degree in International Development from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from McGill University. She has worked with the Think Tank Initiative in various capacities since 2009, as well as with a number of international development and social economy organizations including Fairtrade Canada, La Siembra Co-operative, Guludo Eco Lodge (Mozambique) and CSV (UK). She has conducted fieldwork on fair trade co-operatives in Tanzania, Kenya, Peru, and Panama, and her technical expertise lies in communications, gender, governance, ethical trade, and the social economy.
